            “ Mother…Father…They’re gone..I wasn’t good enough…I wasn’t quick
enough..Why…Why am I always so slow….I had  been studying medical ninjutsu for a while now..To get rid of my parent’s of their ailments..but it wasn’t enough…And now…they’re gone…”

Priala stood in her parents’ room, feelings of sorrow and guilt taking a hold of her.  Try as she may, she couldn’t suppress the tears that came streaming down her face.  Her parents, her only family, had just died. Of course, it was only a matter of time before their weak bodies couldn’t take it anymore.  Disease had taken over them, and they didn’t have the money to purchase the necessary items.  Priala took up studying medical ninjutsu, but even that didn‘t work.  And now here she was, alone in her home. Finally, she fell to her knees as soft sobs came out of her mouth.

“ Nnngh…No..I have to be strong…nnngh…” But how could she, being only nineteen, provide enough for herself? Food was running  scarce in the house, and she knew the money she had right now wouldn’t be enough to last her at least three months.  Although Iwagakure was a powerful village, her family were those people who didn’t do so well financially…  “…I don’t think anyone around here would be so kind as to give me a job…I have no choice but to continue studying..I’ve got the basics down at least…”

And so, Priala continued with medical jutsus, wandering around the outskirts of the village finding injured animals from time to time, never really straying too far from the village border.  She usually spent nights in the forest, not wanting to remember the hardships that had taken place there.

One morning, while taking her daily stroll in the forest, Priala had come across a severely wounded rabbit.  It’s soft white fur was stained by the blood that was trickling down its sides.  Of course, her first instinct was to tend to the gashes on the poor animal’s body, but she had never dealt with anything this serious before.

“ These cuts….Obviously someone did something to this rabbit…  It sickens me to think that someone would actually do something like this….  This may take me a while….  His pulse is already weak…  Nevertheless, I’ve got to everything I can.” And with that Priala performed the necessary hand signs and her hands started to illuminate with chakra.  She had made an improvised version of the regular technique, which was a more efficient way of fixing up serious wounds…. But in turn, she would suffer from major chakra depletion afterwards.  After almost fifteen minutes had passed, and she was almost done.  Sweat dripped down her face as she continued on for a few more minutes.  She was exhausted, but thankfully it was over.  The wound was almost, if not completely, gone.  Although the rabbit was still unconscious, Priala was glad to have saved the rabbits life…but couldn’t help but be curious about who had caused this.  Little did she know, she would get her answer sooner than she thought…..

Finally finished the first chapter of this mini story.
I hope this covers all the jumbled up stuff in Priala's past...
...I couldn't think of a title..
..I'll HAVE TO change it later if I actually think of an /original/ name.

Who do you think hurt the poor little rabbit?

Comments are greatly appreciated.
